William Oscar Barnett, Jr.

Mr. William Oscar Sonny Barnett Jr., 70, of Marblehead, Ohio passed away on September 12, 2007 with his family at his side at the VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Barnett passed away due to a lengthy battle of cancer. He is survived by his wife Janet L. Booze-Barnett of 48 years. They were married on September 12, 1959. They had five children: Christina L. (Ronald) Thomas of Largo, Florida, Brian (Karen) Barnett of Helena, Keith Barnett of Port Clinton, Shawn Barnett of Marblehead and Paul Barnett of London, OH. They had 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Mr. Barnett is also survived by a sister, Colleen (Euie) Dietz of Fremont. Mr. Barnett was in the U. S. Army and served in the Korean War. Formerly a truck driver, he started his own lawn care service in Florida, B & B Lawn Care with his wife. Mr. Barnett enjoyed fishing, golfing and shooting pool. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Oscar Barnett Sr. and Helen (Riffle) Lewis and a brother, Earl Lodie Barnett. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his loving family and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16 from 1-3 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont

Services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home with Rev Jerel Jackson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to purchase furniture for the SICU waiting room at the VA Medical Center in Cleveland.
