Edna Collins, 81, of Fremont, died Sunday, June 3, 2007 at Parkview Nursing Home. She was born on December 11, 1925 in Bluefield, VA to the now deceased John and Annie (Bourne) Ruble. Edna was a graduate of Graham High School in Bluefield, VA and attended Terra Community College for 2 years. In 1947, she married Harry Collins in Virginia and he died in 1973. She had worked at Heinz USA in Fremont as an inspector, retiring June 1, 1991. Edna was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was an instructor for the NRA at Camp Perry, Oak Harbor, a member of the Conservation Club Auxiliary and taught in the Junior Youth Rifle Club.
Surviving is a granddaughter, Jennifer (Guy) Kohlenberg. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Harry Jr., daughter Brenda Sims, her sister, Alena Hinton and granddaughter, Pamela Sims.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 9 from 2-6 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont.
