Dollie Mae Baukus, 85, formerly of Fangboner rd., Fremont, died Thursday at Bethesda Care Center. She was born in Gibsonburg to Emery and Marion (Long) Schneider. On June 3, 1944, she married Anthony Baukus in Port Clinton. He passed away February 4, 1985. A graduate of Fremont Ross High School, she owned and operated Dollie's Ceramics, where she also taught courses. Dollie retired in 1990. She wa a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Fremont and its Rachael Circle, also working the archive room at church. Dollie also belonged to the Fremont Kin Hunters and volunteered at the Hayes Presidential Center in Fremont. She loved sewing, crafts and making and repairing dolls. She also was very involved in various doll clubs. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Cynthia (LaMar) Reiter of Clyde; brother, Charles Schnieder of Elmore; 3 grandchildren, Michelle (Eric) Hotz of Fremont, Phil (Annette) Reiter of Swanton and Tony Reiter of Fremont; two great-grandchildren, Carley Hotz and Haley Reiter also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Douglas and brothers, Galen, Donald & Richard. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
