Michael Patrick Joseph Behee, 8/30/49 to 2/1/05 Mike went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday morning, Feb. 1, 2005. Mike was born in Bellevue, Ohio to Kathryn (Hunt) and Leonard Behee. He married Susanna Reyes on August 17, 1973, in Fremont, Ohio she survives along with their daughter Susu Behee.
He attended Immaculate Conception School in Bellevue, Ohio and St. Marys in Clyde, Ohio and graduated from York High School, Bellevue in 1967. He was schooled at United Electronics in Louisville, KY and had attended Terra Technical College.
He was a former member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Clyde.
Mike was a member of Cathedral of Praise, East, formerly Fremont Christian Center for the past 23 years. He had served as an usher for several years.
Mike was a US Army Veteran, serving 1970 to 1979. He was a member of the Combat Engineers Units at Ft. Eustis, VA, during the Vietnam War, Heilbronn, Germany and Ft. Stewart GA. He also served in the Railroad Detachment Unit while at Ft. Eustis, VA. Mike served as a member of the Honor Guard while in service and he earned various medals while in service Cross of Gallantry and Bronze Stars.
Mike worked at Daimler Chrysler Jeep North Assembly Plant and was currently in the Trim Unit, was a member of the UAW Local 12. He also had worked for Burns Security in Toledo.
Mike was a longtime volunteer of the Liberty Center, serving there each month. He always carried his prayer cloths and anointing oil and prayed for those in need wherever he went. He loved to fish, talk to people and politics. He is survived by his wife, daughter, two sisters, Susan Lemone of Toledo and Sarah (Lamar) Durst, Green Springs, 6 nephews, 3 nieces, and many great nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn, father Leonard, grandparents, Greg & Gladys Coonrod Hunt.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8:30 p.m. on Friday at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont. Services will be held on Saturday at the Cathedral of Praise, East at 10 a.m. with additional visitation one hour before the service. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Clyde with Military Rites.
