rosa 'Stela' Contreras

Rosa "Stela" Contreras, 42, of Fremont died at MCO early Tuesday morning. She was born in Sabastian, TX to Benjamin and Maria (Guerrero) Arellano. Stela graduated from Lyford High School in Lyford, TX. On June 22, 1985, she married Dan Contreras in Fremont at Spiegel Grove. He survives. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge. She loved baking, cooking, music and dancing. She worked at Countryside Continuing Care Center for 16 years in the food service dept. Surviving are children; Eduardo R. Garcia, Robert Benjamin And Alyssa Contreras, all of Fremont and one granddaughter, Kalista Raquel Garcia of Clyde. Also surviving are siblings; Ascencion Arellano of Lyford,TX, Mike ARellano of Denton, TX, Lupe ARellano of Pasadena, TX, Maria Contreras of Fremont, Juan Arellano of Harlingen, TX, Larry ARellano of McAllen, TX, Frank Arellano of Santa Rosa, TX, San Juana Cadenas, Ben & Oscar Arellano all of Harlingen, TX. Stela was preceded in death by her father. Burial was at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Clyde.
