Carl Cook, 59 of Fremont, died early Thursday, February 17, 2011 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. He was born on December 17, 1951 in Fremont to Norman Jesse and Dorothy (Carter) Cook. Carl was a 1970 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He was a restaurateur by occupation. Carl was a member of the Old Fort Methodist Church and the Moose. Surviving is a son, Benjamin (Audrey) Cook of Put-In-Bay; stepsons, Jason and John Musser both of Dallas, TX; brothers, Delbert (Barb) Cook of Fremont, Norman Jay (Jeanette) Cook of Elmore; sisters Stephanie (Roger) Hoy of Fremont and Jennifer Halm of Sandusky; aunt, Oma Pump of Fremont; nephews, Nathaniel (Nikoleta) Cook of Ottawa Hills, OH, Norman Halm of San Francisco, Crispin and Joshua Cook both of Fremont; niece, Melanie (Joe) Frederick of Clyde; grandchildren, Tripp Anderson Cook of Put-In-Bay and Skyleigh Kristinalynn Cook of Bellevue. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister in law, Norma Cook and brother in law, Roger Hoy. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Old Fort Methodist Church in Old Fort with Rev. John Alice officiating. Memorial contributions in Carls name may be made to the Old Fort Methodist Church or to the care of his son, Benjamin.
