Arthur E. V. Cooley, 66 of Fremont, died on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the University of Toledo Medical Center, Toledo. He was born on October 17, 1942 in Fremont to the now deceased Jeremiah M. & Dorothy Canna (LeFever) Cooley. Arthur graduated from Ross High School in 1961 and served in the Army National Guard. Arthur married Linda May Stults on Valentines Day, February 14, 1968 and she survives in Fremont. He worked at Green Bay Packing as a die cut operator retiring in 2005. Arthur enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Surviving along with his wife are his daughters; Kelly (Todd) Swerdersky and Dawn Cooley both of Fremont, granddaughters; Amanda Swerdersky and Delaney Cooley; great-grandson; Cade McClory; sisters; Emma Mason, Anna Rose Tracy both of Fremont, Mary Domokos of Port Clinton, Freda (Kenneth) Risch of Fremont and brother Jeremiah Cooley of Green Springs. He was preceded in death by his siblings Elizabeth Lindsey, Catherine Laubacher, William Cooley, Nelly Hudson and Harry Cooley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2009 at the Chapel at St. Francis Health Care Center, Green Springs from 12-3 PM with funeral services beginning at 3 PM with Rev. Ray Fisher officiating. Memorials are suggested to be made to American Heart Association, Kidney Foundation or to the Ronald McDonald House. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont.
