David R. Binder

David R. Binder, 60, of Fremont died Friday evening, November 2nd at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born on February 8, 1947 to Richard (Whitey) and Delores (Dumbroff) Binder. David graduated in 1965 from Fremont Ross High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam Era, stationed in Korea. He married Barbara K. Smidutz in November of 1967. She preceded him in death on May 25, 1995.

David was a maintenance supervisor retiring in 1996 and a member of the Moose, Eagles, and VFW. He enjoyed fishing and wood working.

Surviving is his mother, Delores, of Fremont; children, Troy (Amy) and Chris (Crystal) Binder both of Fremont; sisters Alice (James) Armstrong of Sandusky and Connie (Terry) Mullholand of Fremont; 4 grandchildren, K.C., Amanda, Nick, and Tyler; and companion Mary Yost of Port Clinton. David is preceded in death by his father and his wife.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont.

Services will be held on Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. William Pifher will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont where military rites will be given by the Fremont American Legion and VFW Posts.
