Leola Mary Damschroder

Leola M. Damschroder, 82, of Gibsonburg, died on Monday, October 29, 2007 at her home. She was born on March 3, 1925 in rural Oak Harbor, OH to the now deceased Rollie and Elizabeth (Gahn) Gnepper. Leola was a 1943 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. On May 26, 1945 she married Albert H. Damschroder at the Lindsey Evangelical Church and he survives. Leola was a homemaker and a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church Gibsonburg.

Surviving are sons, Rev. Robert (Janet) Damschroder of Montpelier, OH and Dr. Richard (Judith) Damschroder of Lima, OH; 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and brother, Wayne (Rosella) Gnepper of New Riegel, OH. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Oliver Gnepper.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 1st from 4-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church with one hour of visitation at the church prior to the service. Pastor Fritz Merkes will officiate. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery.
