Mary H. Danback, 88, 305 Ohio Ave., Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, with her brother Edward at her side, at Bethesda Care Center. She was born in Cleveland to Joseph and Frances (Novak) Celek. She married Carl S. Danback on June 7, 1946, and he died May 21, 1994. Mrs. Danback was employed at Hodes & Zink Co. and Union Carbide while living in Fremont and retired after 29 years of service from General Electric in Tiffin on March 28, 1980. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Tiffin. Mary was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. After retirement she enjoyed visiting her family and friends and also loved working in her flower gardens and yard. Surviving are brother, Edward Celek of Fremont and sisters Dolores Snyder, Lucretia (Glenn) Saller of Fremont and Angela (Irvin) Mazur of Rossford. Brothers, Joseph C. Celek, Stanley M. Celek and Vincent L. Celek and sister, Stella B. Nietrzeba, and her parents are deceased. She had 32 nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. Mary made a gift of her body to the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo for educational research and scientific purposes for mankind. Mass of the Resurrection: 10:30 a.m. Dec. 11 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 85 S. Sandusky St., Tiffin. The Rev. David M. Ross will officiate.
