June E. Decker, 79 of Fremont died early Sunday morning at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont. She was born on August 29, 1927 in Fremont to the now deceased Harold and Irene (Swedersky) Decker. June was a 1945 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. She worked for Claus Cutlery for 44 years, starting out as a clerk and working her way up to head bookkeeper, retiring in 1990. June was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was a longtime Bowler/Golfer in various leagues in Fremont and the area. June was treasurer of Ohio Womens Inter-City Bowling Association for many years and was given a life membership from O.W.I.B.A. upon retirement.
Surviving is her sister, Gail (Dean) Hoffman of Fremont; sister in law, Florence Decker of Fremont; nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends throughout the years. Preceding her in death are her parents and her brother, Dean.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with additional visitation one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Certified Celebrant Maureen Pump will be officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Memorial Hospital.
