Allen C. "Smokey" DeWitt

Allen C. "Smokey" DeWitt, 58 of Gibsonburg died July 7, at his residence. He was born in Lower Brule, SD to the now-deceased Charles and Victorene LaRoshe. Allen worked as a coal miner and also did odd jobs. Allen is survived by sons, Michel and Christopher DeWitt; sisters, Della Hull of Pierre, SD, Dolly Moses of Carbon Dale, IA and Maria Winkelman of Maple Lake, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dallas DeWitt. Visitation/Services: 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg, followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Ralph Clink officiating.
