Dale Dukeshire Sr., 80 of Fremont died Thursday, November 24, 2005 at his residence. He was born on September 24, 1925 in Toledo, OH to Irven and Mildred (Moffett) Dukeshire. He attended DeVilbis High School.
Dale served in the US Navy during WWII, receiving the American Area Campaign Medal, Eur-African-Mid East Area Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He served as a Motor Machinists Mate Second Class in England and Germany. In 1964 he married Phyllis A. Helle in Naples, FL and she died on August 13, 2003. Dale worked at the Fremont Foundry, retiring in 1992.
Surviving are children, Carolyn (Ron) Hanifen of Naples, FL, Calvin (Judy) Dukeshire of Cape Coral, FL, Linda Thayer of Port Clinton, Scott (Kelley) Dukeshire and Dale (Janet) Dukeshire, Jr. both of Oak Harbor, Darin Dukeshire, Mike Dukeshire and Michelle Henry all of Fremont, Ann (Charles) Hansen of Sylvania, Bill (Nadine) Dukeshire of Temperance, MI, Sandra (Larry) Albright, Debra (Terry) Kidwell both of Toledo, Vicky Watson of Hardy, VA, James (Darlene) Dukeshire of Holland, OH, Ellen (Mark) Brown of Northwood, OH, Luann Dukeshire of Toledo; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Bonnie Hughes of Toledo, Carol Killy of Walbridge and Verna Dukeshire of Springfield.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Candy Lynn Fish, 3 grandchildren, brother, Earl, sisters, Lavina Nigh and Betty Slover.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 27 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Duane Dunfee officiating.
Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Port Clinton with military rites provided by the Fremont American Legion and VFW.
