Naomi C. Fausey

Naomi C. Fausey, age 96, of Fremont and formerly of County Rd. 58, Helena died early Thursday morning, October 13, 2005 at the Bethesda Care Center in Fremont. She was born on November 11, 1908 in Gibsonburg to Charles and Catherine (Sloyer) Gerwin. On November 25, 1928 she married Eli Fausey and he preceded her on March 1, 1985. Naomi was a homemaker and dedicated farm wife. She enjoyed working on the daily duties of the farm including operating a roadside fruits and vegetables stand at her home in Tinney. In her later years she lived for all of her grandchildren. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, Helena, and its Ladies Aide circle and the former Washington Chapel Ladies Aide Circle. Naomi was also a member of the Scott Scramblers Farm Bureau Council. Surviving are daughters, Lois (Thomas) Beal of Port Clinton, Carol (Howard) Eversole of Fremont and Carlene (Donald) Held of Lindsey, eleven grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Catherine Gerwin; husband, Eli Fausey; son and daughter-in-law, Herbert and Mildred Fausey; brothers, Wilber and Carl Gerwin; sisters, Lenore Oberhomert, Rhea Stephens and Helen Jackson.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg.

Funeral services will be on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Becky Schofield officiating. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
