Fremont resident, Faye Fisher, 90 years of age, died very unexpectedly Saturday morning at the Memorial Hospital in Fremont.
Born in Ashland, Ohio on August 21, 1916, she is one of eight children of Ed and Addie (Crawford) Witmer. Faye graduated from Ashland High School in 1935 and married Delmar Fisher on March 16, 1940. At the age of 62 she retired from the former Eagle Rubber Company in Ashland.
Faye was fun-loving and a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in Fremont and enjoyed public ministry and spreading the word of the Bible. An avid reader and fine cook, Faye enjoyed wintering in Florida with her sisters for the last 16 years.
Surviving her are her sons, Larry of Brooklyn NY and Lanny (Sharon) of Lancaster, TX, brother Robert Witmer of Mansfield and sister Joan Bork of Fremont.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Beatrice, Charity, Olive, Edgar and Eleanor.
A memorial service was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in Fremont on Monday, April 30, at 2:00 p.m. Minister Phil Bork officiated.
Memorial contributions in Fayes memory may be made to the Worldwide Work of Jehovahs Witnesses.
