Jean D. Follman, 86, of Gibsonburg, died early Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on October 30, 1923 in Gibsonburg to William and Pearl (Miller) Aspacher. Jean graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1942. On November 26, 1947 she married Warren Follman at St. Johns in Stoney Ridge and he preceded her in death on October 12, 2000. Jean worked as a clerk at Pauls Hardware, retiring in 2003. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gibsonburg, the Women of the Church, a life member of the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are sons, Charles (Linda) of Perrysburg and Robert (Donna) of Port Clinton; four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Beatrice Mohrman of Woodville, Don (Barbara) Aspacher of MI, Kenneth (Linda) Aspacher of Toledo and Gloria Aspacher of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law, Donna Aspacher, brother-in-law, Dale DeRammeleare; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Leona Elser, Shirley DeRammeleare, brothers, Harold and Dale Aspacher.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 from 4-8 p.m.at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church on Thursday the 14th at 10:30 a.m. with her body laying in state starting one hour prior to services. Rev. Blair Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to the American Cancer Society in Jeans memory.
