Herman Herm H. Fowler, 95 of Fremont died Friday, March 14, 2008 at Bethesda Care Center. He was born on August 18, 1912 in Fremont to Silas & Emma (Hildebrandt) Fowler. Herm married his first wife Ethel Snow and she died July 25, 1991. On June 21, 1952 he married Anna E. Pressler at Grace Lutheran Church and she died on November 29, 1995. He worked as a house leader for Plumbrook, and then the Fremont Rubber Co. which was renamed Hewitt Robbins, then to Woodall Industries in Fremont, retiring in 1974. He then worked as a night watchman for Crescent Manufacturing retiring from there in 1981. Herm was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, a tent leader of Local 188 of the Maccabees and he enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Surviving are his children; Barbara (Larry) Stout of Fremont, Raymond (Evelyn) Fowler of Florence KY; stepson, Dr. James (Cara) Reidling of Grand Island, NY. He is also survived by many grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special friend, Gladys Karr. Herm was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Burton Rosenberger; stepson, Ben Reidling; brother, Frank Fowler; sister, Pearl Raths; and half-brother, Leland Hoburg. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont from 10-12 Noon with a memorial service at 12 Noon. Pastor Paul Gruetter will officiate. Burial will be held at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or to the donors choice.
