Lois A. Fox, 80, formerly of Gibsonburg, died early Monday morning at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born on August 23, 1924 in Luckey, OH to William F. and Mabel S. (Rothenbuhler) Samson. Lois was a graduate of Troy-Luckey High School. On February 12, 1949 she married Donald E. Fox and he died on January 2, 1998. Lois was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gibsonburg, the American Legion Auxiliary, former member of the VFW Auxiliary and Zion Women of the Church. Surviving are daughters Linda (George) Holcomb of Gibsonburg; son Gene (Patty) Fox of Gibsonburg; sisters, Marie Daily of Pemberville, Wilma Rust of Oak Harbor, Ruth Berger of Fremont; brothers Lowell Samson of Toledo, Frederick Samson of Monroe, IA; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, a son Bill Fox Sr. (5/11/92); a daughter, Shirley Wilhelm (1/31/04) and a brother Robert Carl Samson.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 3rd from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 4th at 10:30 a.m. with one hour visitation prior to the service at Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg, with Pastor Blair Miller and Pastor Robert Wietelmann officiating.
Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, Hospice of Memorial Hospital or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
