Albert E. Frederick, 82 of Gibsonburg, died on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at his home. He was born on August 13, 1926 in Bear Creek, AL to the now deceased Eugene and Anna Mae (Tidwell) Frederick. Albert was a graduate of Phillips High School. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Army Military Police in Japan. During his tour of duty, he was an escort for General McArthur. Albert was avid hunter. He was a certified electrician working for Johns Manville and retired in 1989. On December 24, 1946 he married Lois Hyde in Hackleburg, AL and she survives in Gibsonburg.

Also surviving are children, Brenda (Terrylee) Dembowski of Gibsonburg, James (Mary) of Graytown and Phillip (Denise) of Farmington Hills, MI; ten grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a brother, Spencer (Ruth) of Memphis, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, James Cecil, Allen Frederick and a sister Willie Mae.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 2-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Services will follow at 8 p.m., Wayne Jacobs will officiate.

Memorial donations in Alberts memory may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital.
