Martha A. (Ulrich) Gebauer, age 95, of Fremont died Saturday morning, October 25, at the Bethesda Care Center in Fremont.
Martha was born in Upper Sandusky on March 20, 1913 to the now deceased Edward and Anna (Hensel) Ulrich. A 1931 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School, in 1936 she married Oscar Gebauer in Columbus. He died in 1950. Martha loved to cook and raising her three sons. In 1958 she began working as a cook and baker at Fremont High School and was there until her retirement in 1975. From that point on she continued cooking for several places including ten years at Fort Stephenson in Fremont, Ole Zims Wagon Shed and part time at the Fremont Country Club. Martha was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Fremont.
Surviving her are her sons Robert of Fremont, David (Debbie) of Clyde and Jerry (Pam) of Fremont, grandchildren David, Tricia, Nathan and Theresa and nine great grandchildren.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Fred, Red, Bob and Paul Ulrich and two infant siblings.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 29, at the First United Church of Christ, 1500 Tiffin Road, Fremont at 10:30 a.m. where her body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral. Rev. Elaine Bast will officiate. Visitation will be at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fremont on Tuesday 5-8 p.m.
Burial will be at Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
Memorial contributions in Martha's memory may be made to the First United Church of Christ, Building Fund.
