Roger J. Geller, 60 of Fremont, died early Tuesday morning at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo after a long illness. He was born on January 23, 1945 in Port Clinton to John and Edell (Behlmer) Geller. Roger was a past member of the Fremont Lions, a Rocky Ridge Volunteer Fireman, a Board member of the Fremont Soup Kitchen and past Church Councilman at Grace Lutheran Church. He was a grinder at Crescent Manufacturing and a laborer at Doehler Jarvis.
Surviving are children Joelle (Brian) Wagoner of Clyde, Raymond and James Geller both of Fremont, grandchildren Larry Jim Johnson, Alexia Geller, Alyssa Geller and Zane Geller; brothers, Edward J. (Diane) Geller of Graytown, Ronald G. (Patricia) Geller of Lindsey; sisters, Joyce (Cliff) Shaler of Saginaw, MI, Joanne (John) Wodrich of Ontario Canada, Janet Filmore of Rocky Ridge, June (Jack) Skaggs of Woodville, Judy (Tom) Edington of Quincy, KY, and Jacqueline Wagner of Rocky Ridge.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, John Geller in 1987.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Rocky Ridge, OH with Pastors Bob Zoeller and Keith Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Limestone Cemetery in Limestone, OH.
Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of NW Ohio or St. Johns Lutheran Church, Rock Ridge.
