Danielle K. Gerwin, 31 of Gibsonburg, died on Sunday, June 8, 2008 in Fremont. She was born on January 23, 1977 in Fremont to Billy and Linda (Damschroder) Truman in Fremont. Danielle was a 1995 graduate of Gibsonburg High School and attended Hocking College. She was the co-owner operator of Pisanellos Pizza in Gibsonburg. On September 6, 1997 she married Charlie Gerwin at White Star Park in Gibsonburg and he survives. Danielle was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School and Green Creek Wildlife Society and was a Cub Scout Leader. She enjoyed scrap booking, gardening and shopping. Danielle had won the John Phillips Sousa Award in Band during her high school years and most recently the Thomas Biro Award for Scouting.

Surviving in addition to her husband and father, son, Avery Charles Gerwin; grandmother, Mary Truman all of Gibsonburg; grandfather, Earl Damschroder of Lake Wales, FL; siblings, Tiffany Truman of Monroeville, OH and Andrew Truman of Gibsonburg. She is preceded in death by her mother, daughter, Emily Rose Gerwin, grandparents, Melvin Truman and Frances Fran Damschroder.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 12 from 3-9 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 500 S. Brentwood Dr., Gibsonburg. Services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service at church. Rev. Blair Miller will be officiating. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Green Creek Wildlife Society or to Boy Scouts of America, Troop 408.
