Norman H. Gerwin

Norman H. Gerwin, 89, of Patterson St., Gibsonburg, died late Friday evening at home. He was born in Gibsonburg to the now-deceased Henry and Mary (Goetz) Gerwin and attended Gibsonburg High School. On July 19, 1941, he married Margaret C. Fry at Zion Lutheran Church and she survives in Gibsonburg. Norman served with the US Army Air Corps fom May 1942 until September 1945. Surviving are children, LuAnn (Kim) Willinger and Greg (Ruth Ann) Gerwin, both of Gibsonburg; grandchildren, Jennifer (Guy) Proctor, Weston Henry Gerwin of Toledo, Maggie, Ian and Seth Willinger of Gibsonburg; great-granddaughters, Seriah and MaKenna Proctor of Toledo; sisters, Mildred Ameling of Genoa, Leah Keller of Fostoria and Edna Roth of Fremont. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mabel Gerwin and a brother, Dale Gerwin. A memorial services was held on Friday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church. Burial was at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
