Albert Al F. Golden, 89 formerly of Fremont, died Thursday evening, December 8, 2005 at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. He was born on September 20, 1916 in Fremont to George and Amelia (Schilling) Golden. On March 23, 1940 he married Marjorie Schneider in Bloomville, OH and she survives in AZ. Al was a 1937 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He was a machine operator at Herbrand for 17 years and later at Whirlpool until retiring in 1980. Al was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Fremont, the churchs Crusaders Class, a life member of Dads of Foreign Service Veterans and the Fremont Moose. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and was a Pinochle player.
Surviving are sons. Ronald (Mary Lou) of Bettsville, Frederick (Cindy) of St. Petersburg, FL, Kent (Debora) of Gilbert, AZ; Kimberly (Paul) Spitznagel of Knoxville, TN, 9 grandchildren, 11great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren and sister, Katherine Michaels of Fremont.
He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Leslie, grandson, Keith Golden, brothers George & Leroy.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 15, 2005, from 11 a.m. 2 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Pastor Lowell Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
