Hazel Hansen

Hazel Haubert Hansen, 92, of Gibsonburg died on Saturday, July 31, 2010. She was born in Bettsville on February 23, 1918 to Warren and Eurie (Feasel) Lynch. Hazel graduated from Bettsville High School in 1936. She was married to Jerry Haubert from 1940, until his death in 1956. Their son Steven, 15, died in 1959. She was later married to Harry (Joe) Hansen from 1964 until his death in 2005. They became world travelers in their retirement. She loved gardening and had 150 roses at one time. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gibsonburg.

She is survived by children Phillip (Karen) Haubert of Maumee, Suzanne (Al) Melroy of Seattle, WA and Becky (Howard) Hall of Grapevine, TX; grandchildren; Eric, Toledo, Amanda, Tyler and Matt of Texas, great-grandsons, Tucker Haubert and Austin Sharp, siblings, Jean Lutz, Tiffin, Jack Lynch, Fostoria, Shirley Burkart, Bettsville, and Bill Lynch, Covington, KY. Hazel was preceded in death by siblings, Alice, Beulah, Bob and Dick.

Burial will be privately handled at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Contributions can be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg, OH.
