Juanita A. (Dillow) Haslinger, 86, formerly of Gibsonburg, died Thursday evening at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont. She was born on January 7, 1921 in Portsmouth, OH to the now deceased Walter R. and Margaret (Campbell) Dillow. Juanita was a 1939 graduate of Portsmouth High School. On January 12, 1940 she married Urban T. Haslinger and he preceded her on February 11, 2000. Juanita was a loving wife, mother, homemaker and a Real Estate Agent for a number of years. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Gibsonburg and its Altar-Rosary Society. Juanita loved playing cards especially pinochle, gardening, traveling to Florida, canning and she made the Best cherry pies. Surviving are daughters, Madeline (LaMar) Aldrich of Fremont, Regina (Terry) Moritz of Glendale, AZ, Carol Sue (Richard) Arquette of Fremont, Barbara (Richard) Good of Fremont; son, Urban (Diane) Haslinger of Bowling Green, OH; grandchildren; Patrick Aldrich, Nicole (David) Haghiri, Kelley (Michael) Kelbley, Stacy (Shane) Bilger, Richard (Yani) Good III, Bonnie (Tim) Fick, Jason Urban Good, Carl Moritz, Eric Arquette, Rebecca (Keith) Peery, Matthew Urban Haslinger and Andrew Haslinger. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, siblings, Britain Cooper of Friendship, OH; Jean Brubaker of Helena, Ida (Cliff) Falls of Walbridge, OH and Sidney (Bunny) Dillow of W. Portsmouth, OH. Her parents, husband and sisters, Olive (Herb) Boggs, Erma (Burdell) Fritz, and brother Clyde (Molly) Dillow, and great-grandson Clayton Peery preceded her in death.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 9th from 2-4 & 6:30-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg where a rosary will be said at 4:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 10th at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Gibsonburg at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Don Mueller officiating. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Juanitas memory to St. Michaels Church or to Hospice of Memorial Hospital.
The family would like to thank everyone who came to visit Juanita during her stay at Elmwood Assisted Living. A special thank you to the staff of Elmwood and to Hospice of Memorial Hospital for all their wonderful care.
