Christine M. Hasselbach, 93 of Fremont, died Friday at Countryside Continuing Care Center. She was born on September 21, 1913 in Lindsey to the now deceased Wesley and Cora (Gnepper) Miller. Christine was a 1931 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. On September 20, 1936 she married Howard H. Hasselbach at the EUB Church and he died May 16, 1997. Christine was a homemaker and loving mother. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a volunteer receptionist at Lutheran Social Services for several years and belonged to the Kingsway Happy Larks.
Surviving are children, James D. (Shirley) Hasselbach of Oak Harbor, Janet M. (James) Morley of Fremont, OH and Nancy L. (James) Gruver of Huron, OH; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchild, 2 great-great grandchildren, and 2 step great-great grandchildren; She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters Tabitha Pontius and Leah Van Atta, and one brother, Francis Johnnie Miller.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 19, 2006, from 4-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church (Kingsway) on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at church one hour prior to the service. Pastor Keith Koppenhofer will be officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Kingsway. Memorial donations may be made to the church or donors choice
