Clarence E. "Jake" Haubert

Clarence E. "Jake" Haubert, 85, of Gibsonburg died early Monday morning at Countryside Continuing Care Center, Fremont. He was born in Millersville to the now-deceased George nd Margaret (Collett) Haubert. Clarence served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII and was a tool maker at Atlas Industries in Gibsonburg. On Oct. 9, 1948, he married Irma Daiber at St. Michael's Church, Gibsonburg and she survives. Clarence was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church,Gibsonburg, K of C 3rd and 4th Degree, American Legion, and VFW. He served the church as a Eucharistic minister, was on church council and a member of the RCIA Team for 13 years. Surviving are sons, David (Sandra) Haubert, Monument, CO, Kevin (Dee) Haubert, Gibsonburg, and Jeffrey (Kathy) Haubert, Maumee; daughter, Marla (Tom) Marsh, Gibsonburg; daughter-in-law, Carol Haubert, Fremont; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson; siblings, Martha Kirsch, Gibsonburg, Ardella Rathbun, Arthur Haubert and Carolyn Knudsen all of Fremont and Lawrence Haubert of Woodville. He is preceded by his parents, son, Roger, Brother, Robert Haubert and sister, Pauline Stadler. Visitation: 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wedneseday at Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gibsonburg. Burial: St. Lawrence Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Memorials: St. Michael's Catholic Church.
