Mary E. Haubert, age 83, formerly of Mallard Court, Fremont and most recently of Luther Meadows, Gibsonburg passed on to be with Our Lord on Saturday morning, January 28, 2006 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital in Oregon.
Mary was born on August 13, 1922 in Fremont, OH to the late Frank and Laura (Stine) Haubert. A 1940 graduate of Fremont Ross High School, she obtained a Secretarial Degree from the Tiffin University in 1944. Mary worked at several area employers including the News Messenger in Fremont, the Erie Proving Grounds at Camp Perry, the Fremont Employment Office and Atlas Industries until her retirement. Following her retirement Mary used her professional experience and personal skills by assisting independent adults handling their business affairs.
Mary was a very active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont and volunteered as a secretary at the Sandusky County Chapter American Heart Association and Share-N-Care.
She is survived by her sister Lois Beeker of Gibsonburg, nephews Gary (Jackie) Beeker of Cincinnati and Michael (Joely) Beeker of Tiffin and niece Cynthia (David) Smith of Gibsonburg. 9 great nieces and nephews and 7 great, great nieces and nephews also survive.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and brother in law, Dale Beeker.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 2, 10:30 a.m., at the Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont where her body will lie in state for one hour prior to the start of the services. Friends and family will be received Wednesday, February 1, at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fremont from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Burial will be at Four Mile House Cemetery, Fremont.
Contributions in Marys memory may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church, the American Heart Association or to the donors choice.
