Thomas W. Haubert

Thomas W. Jake Haubert , 67, of Fremont, died at his home Sunday morning with his family, friends, and dog Lulu by his side . He was born on November 22, 1940 to the now deceased Howard J. and Grace L. (Pasch) Haubert. "Jake" graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1958. Later he married Barbara S. Binkley in Monroe, MI on September 20, 1963 and she preceded him in death on November 20, 2007. "Jake" was a member of the Fremont Loyal Order of the Moose and he enjoyed working with ceramics & crafts with his wife at J&B Ceramics. "Jake" worked many years at Heinz in Fremont until retiring in 2004. He celebrated 31 years of sobriety with AA.  He loved fishing, camping, was an avid sports fan, and loved to work on his lawn. Surviving are children Tamara (Chuck) Mettler, Terrance Haubert, Trisha Baker, Tod (Jennifer) Haubert, Tanya Goatee, Tonya Haubert all of Fremont; grandchildren Tyler Haubert, Derek Haubert, Tiffany Baker, Kimberly Weber, Kayla Haubert, Trevor Goatee, Tommy Poole, Katelyn Haubert, Hannah Haubert, Trent Goatee, Danielle Haubert; step-grandchildren Benjamin Baker, Joshua Baker, Christopher Geldine; sister Carol (Harold) Franks of Fremont and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and son-in-law Brian K. Baker. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont . Services will be preformed by the Fremont Loyal Order of the Moose during the day.

Services: 1 PM on Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church Pastor Robert Quillen will officiate. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the services starting at 12 noon.  Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
