Mary E. Haynes, 84 of Fremont, died Sunday evening at St. Francis Care Center, Green Springs. She was born on January 28, 1921 in Fremont to Howard and Elizabeth (Klos) Stierwalt. Mary was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School and received a two-year degree from Tiffin Business College. On January 28, 1944 she married Walter G. Haynes and he survives. Mary was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Anns Catholic Community, Fremont Memorial Hospital Golden Threads, a docent at the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center and a former Camp Fire Girl leader.
Surviving are children Patrick (Nancy) Haynes of Fremont, Timothy (Bonnie) Haynes of St. Michaels, MD, Dennis (Teresa) Haynes of Richmond, VA, Daniel (Nancy) Haynes of Hesperia, CA, Kevin (Linda) Haynes of Lombard, IL, Maureen (Thomas) Parman of Fremont, Ann (Kim) Stiger of Oak Harbor, 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Theresa Haynes, great-granddaughter, Brittnay Haynes, brothers Robert and William Stierwalt.
Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 p.m. at Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremontwith a Wake Service at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Anns Catholic Church with Rev. Gerald Ceranowski and Rev. Omar Rethinger officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Anns Catholic Community in Marys name or Donor's Choice.
