Mary Lou Heberling, 83 of Fremont, died on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky. She was born on May 3, 1927 in Bradner to John and Inez (Carris) Newman. On October 3, 1950 she married Robert Lewis Heberling and he preceded her in death. Mary Lou worked at Heinz as a seasonal laborer for many years. Her number one accomplishment in life was taking care of Tommy for 45 years. She enjoyed dancing, watching the Cleveland Indians, camping, going to Frischs Big Boy, Great Scot and the Dollar Store.
Surviving are her children, Rick (Deborah) of Fremont, Bill (Tami) of New London, Gary (Chris Laurer) and Tommy all of Fremont; step-daughter, Barb (Wayne) Collins of Risingsun; grandchildren, Dan, Sherry, David, Karra, Karly, Rob and Andrew; 8 step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 17 step-great grandchildren; siblings, Bonnie Whitcomb of Toledo, Letha Goshe of Fostoria, Joanne Gilmore of Van Buren and Jim Newman of Bradner. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son, Ronnie, great-grandson, Samual David Stover, sister, Betty Newman, brothers, John Bob and Dale Newman.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 25, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Click officiating. Burial will follow at Bradner Cemetery.
The family would like to give a special thanks to family friend, Joey Young for his support and extra effort in making sure that Mary Lou and Tommy were taken care of.
