Robert Bob Henline, 79, Gibsonburg died Thursday, March 31st at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born on October 21, 1925 to John and Mae (Brubaker) Henline in Gibsonburg, OH. Bob graduated from Gibsonburg High School and served in the US Army during WWII in Europe, participating in the Battle of the Bulge. On August 22, 1947 he married Susan Donnels and she survives. Bob was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Sandusky County Sportsman Assoc. and Ohio Angus Assoc. He enjoyed working with children as a Little League Coach and 4-H advisor, but was most proud of his 43 years as Athletic Timer for Gibsonburg High School. Also surviving is son, Jim (Kate) Henline, Lindsey, 2 grandchildren Josh (Andrea) Henline, Rossford, Rachel (Jim) Auld, Lindsey, 3 step-grandchildren Kim (Mike) Simon, Indianapolis, IN, Gretchen (Tony) Grolle, Gibsonburg, Amanda (Brian) Thieman, Indianapolis, IN, 3 great-grandchildren and 4 great-step grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Willis (Bill) Henline.
Bobs remains have been donated to the Medical College of Ohio. A Memorial Service Celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, April 10th. Visitation will be from 12 2 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ralph Clink officiating.
