Maribel E. Hetrick, 90, Fremont, died early Friday morning, April 21 at Bethesda Care Center. She was born on May 9, 1915 in Fremont to the late Ervin and Maude (Bowers) Michaels. On November 25, 1938 she married Franklin P. Hetrick and he died on August 14, 2000. Maribel was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker and also a nursing aid at the former Diamondview Nursing Home for 16 years. Maribel enjoyed playing cards and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Fremont and the Sandusky Township Mothers Study Club. Surviving are children, Sandra (Larry) Kille, Thomas (Connie) Hetrick, Gerard (Phoebe) Hetrick, Patricia (Jim) Winters and Roger (Robin) Hetrick, all of Fremont; grandchildren, Jacinta Figley, Lance Hetrick, Kyle Hetrick, Toni Musser, Tia Price, Tonya Cook, Tori Marsee, Josh Hetrick, Heidi Gallagher, Chris Hetrick, Pat Hetrick, Shelley Green, Jon Hetrick, Betsy Liechty, Holly Flueckiger, Debra Ceculski, Kenny Winters and Jon Winters; 33 great grandchildren; sisters, Opal Saionz and Melva (Ken) Murphy both of Fremont, and sister-in-law, Lois Michaels of Fremont. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Robert Michaels and brother-in-law, Tony Saionz.
Visitation will be on Sunday, April 23 from 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with her body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Pastor Paul Gruetter will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
