Francis "Whitey" Homler, 68, of Port Clinton Rd., died early Friday morning at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont. He was born in Green Springs to Alfred Sr. and Genneva (Stewart) HOmler. On February 23, 1957, he married Mary Ann Dickey at the First Brethren Church, Fremont and she survives. Also surviving are children, Rebecca (James) Keaton, Melissa (Frank) Distel, James Homler, Kathryn (Warren) Stout and Raymond (Becky) Homler; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brothers, Quillen, Alfred Jr, Kenneth, Clatyon, and Ernest; sisters, Shirley Wheatman, Judith Cress and Blanche Hineline. He is preceded by his parents, an infant brother Gilbert, brother Norman and sisters, Phyllis Toth & Joyce Fisher. Visitation was held on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Services were held on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery.
