Gibsonburg resident Susan Marie (Struble) Hoy, age 50, died Tuesday night, December 30, at the St. Charles Hospital, Oregon.
Sue was born on January 28, 1958 to Harold and June (Harding) Struble. She graduated from Fremont Ross in 1976 and formerly worked at the Title Department in the Courthouse in Fremont. She was currently working with the United Insurance Service as a Senior Lines Customer Service Representative, with 21 years of experience. Sue was an avid Buckeye fan, enjoyed golfing and other sports, liked to have fun and being around people. While growing up she learned to sail and to appreciate the beauty of lighthouses.
She was joined in marriage with Delbert Hoy on October 11, 1989 in Helen, Georgia. He survives. Also surviving is her mother June (George) Chapin, sister Sandy (Glenn II) Smith from Woodville, step children Mike Hoy of Oregon, Kim Hoy of Gibsonburg, Renee Goldstein of Rocky Ridge, Tammie (Craig) Schultz of Van Buren, Kelli Hoy of Green Springs, niece and nephew Ashley Kaylor and Glenn Smith III, 3 great nephews, 16 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Gibsonburg, Sunday January 4th from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Fritz Merkes will officiate.
Burial will follow at Washington Chapel Cemetery in Washington Township.
Memorials may be made to the ICU @ St. Charles Hospital, Oregon or to the charity of the donors choice.
