Betty Jaisler, 82 of Fremont, died Wednesday at Bethesda Care Center. She was born on August 10, 1924 in Gibsonburg to the now deceased Albert H. and Elethia R. (Cunningham) Weigman. Betty was a 1942 graduate of Gibsonburg High School. On March 20, 1943, she married Carl W. Jaisler in Macon, GA. He died December 6, 1979. Betty managed the Catalog Department of Montgomery Wards in Fremont for a number of years and was a receptionist for the Private Industry Council of Sandusky County until retiring in 2000. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, former member of the VFW Auxiliary, Moose, Eastern Star and Eagles.
Surviving are children Jack (Susan) Jaisler of Brevard, NC, Judy (Gary) Wilkins of Fremont, Joann (Darrell) Sebastiano of Port Clinton; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Al Weigman of Fremont, Ned Weigman, Stan Weigman, Vanda Lauer, Nancy Huff all of Gibsonburg and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters, Janet Ferguson, Bonnie McCoy and brother, Ron Weigman.
Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Stephen Seibel officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
