Miriam V. Jones

Miriam V. Jones, 95, formerly of Gibsonburg, died on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Parkview Care Center, Fremont. She was born on September 15, 1914 in Fostoria, OH to Fred and Allie (Hale) Zepernick. Miriam was a 1932 graduate of Fostoria High School. On June 15, 1940, she married Robert H. Jones in Gibsonburg and he preceded her in death on July 29, 2000. Miriam was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Methodist Women of the Church, Faith Fellowship and the Stitch and Chatter Club.

Surviving are sons, Phil (Sandra) Jones of Gibsonburg, Stan (Joan) Jones of Oak Harbor, Jeff (Gwen) Jones of Gibsonburg and; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. Miriam was especially close to her nieces and nephews; Joan (Agnew) Goodman, the deceased James Agnew, Ann (Agnew) Casas, and Roger and Kevin Zepernick. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandchildren, Deborah Sue Jones and Christopher Jones, brother, Robert Zepernick, and sister, Gertrude Agnew.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 5th at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg from 4-8 p.m. Services will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church where her body will lie in state one hour prior to the services with Rev. Jeral Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery in Gibsonburg.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church or to the donors choice in Miriams memory.
