Mary L. (Brunthaver) Joseph

Mary L. (Brunthaver) Joseph, 91, of Briarwood Circle died Saturday morning at the home of her son Curtis. She was born in Green Creek Township to Ralph and Blanche (Bradford) Brunthaver. She graduated from Green Springs High School in 1929 and received a bachelor's degree in education from Bowling Green State University in 1936. She taught at Riley, Green Springs and Fremont schools. In 1940, she married LaMar Joseph at Green Springs Methodist Church. He died in 1981. Together they owned and operated LaMar Joseph TV and Appliance. Mrs. Joseph was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the Fremont Soroptimist Club and the Fremont Beautification Commission. Suriviving are son, Curtis Joseph of Fremont; daughter, Karma Joy Joseph of Green Springs; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is precedec by sister, Anne Freeze and brother, Carroll Brunthaver. Burial was at Lebanon Cemetery.
