Robert H. Kasischke, 77 died Tuesday afternoon at Windsor Lane Health Care Center, Gibsonburg. He was born on December 8, 1927 in Fremont to Herman and Anna (Ortman) Kasischke. Robert joined the U.S. Army in 1954 and served overseas in peacetime. He earned an honorable discharge in 1956. Robert was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, and the Gibsonburg American Legion. He was a farmer until the early 1980s and also worked in maintenance for Hall Miller Trucking for 10 years, then he drove snowplow and mowed grass for the County. Surviving are stepsons William James of Pensacola, FL, Dennis (Joyce) James of Chicago, IL; grandchildren Tonya (Gary) Fisher, Doug (Laura) James, April (Chad) Speakes, Robert A. Kasischke, Justin (Kerri) James; sisters Ruth (Ray) Schimming of Williston, Mable (Harvey) Blausey of Woodville and 9 great- grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Vicki Kasischke.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ralph Clink officiating.
Burial will follow at North Union Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion.
Memorial donations may be made to Memorial Hospital of Fremont.
