Earl F. Kehn, 82, formerly of Gibsonburg, died early Tuesday morning at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont. He was born on April 29, 1923 to Edward and Anna (Lemke) Kehn in Clay Center, Ohio. Earl was a veteran in the Army Air Corps during WWII. On December 9, 1945 he married Jessie Belle Huff in Gibsonburg and she died on July 7, 1993. Earl was a lead mechanic at Brush Wellman for 35 years. He was a lifelong member of the Gibsonburg American Legion Post 17, Voiture 1057 of 40-8, a member of the Gibsonburg Masonic Lodge #575, the VFW Post 2947, Fremont, Lifetime Volunteer Fireman in Gibsonburg, and B.A.R. Brush Retirees Association. Also he was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Gibsonburg.
Earl is survived by daughters Georgia A. (Arlie) Jones, Glendale, AZ, Gloria L. Mankin, Gibsonburg, 3 granddaughters Jennifer & Nicole Jones, Vicki Mankin, 2 great-grandchildren DeAndre and Alaysia, and sister Ester Berger, Columbus, OH.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife (7/7/1993) and son Gene L. Kehn (9/26/2002).
Visitation will be on Friday, June 10, 2005 from 2-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Masonic Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 11 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Fritz Merkes and Rev. Ralph Clink officiating. Burial will be at West Union Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion and VFW.
Memorial donations may be made to Sandco Industries/the School of Hope or to Hospice of Memorial Hospital.
