Christopher Kenaga, age 62, died at his Fremont, Oh home Sunday morning, December 10, 2006. Born on August 17, 1944 in Manchester, England, Christopher was the son of Arthur Cole and Dorotha Joan (Hipskind) Kenaga. They precede him in death. Christopher graduated from Rocky River High School, attended the Miami University of Ohio and served in the U.S Air Force in the early 1960s. Years ago, he worked with Rod Link and American Amuzement Mobile Carnival of which he was proud. Most of his life, Christopher was a truck driver, retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 20, the Fremont Eagles and the Fremont Post of the American Legion. A passionate Harley Davidson rider, he belonged the Huron River Harley Owners Group (HOG). He thoroughly enjoyed his motorcycle and his cycle group. His fun loving, energetic and positive personality will be greatly missed by his family and the large number of friends he leaves behind. On August 8, 1980 Christopher married Peggy Terry in Rittman Ohio and she survives. Also surviving are his children Arthur and Daniel (Tara) Kenaga of Cleveland, Michele (Cary) Roland of Clyde, OH and Donovan Lee Kenaga, Kristen Kenaga, Vicky (Edgar) Hinz and Daniel Roper all of Cleveland, thirteen grandchildren and sister Alice. His brother Davey precedes Christopher in death.
Visitation will be at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fremont on Tuesday 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. where vigil services of the Fremont Eagles will be at 7:30 p.m.. Additional visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the funeral at noon. Rev. Ron Brickner will officiate. Military funeral rites will be performed by the Fremont Posts of the American Legion and VFW.
Burial will be at a later date at Lakewood Cemetery in Rocky River, OH.
