Marilyn Louise Knipp

Marilyn Louise Knipp 77 of Fremont went home to be with her Lord early Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 8, 1931 in Toledo to the now deceased William & Anna (Metzger) Bank. Marilyn graduated from Marybrook Girls Academy in Toledo. On January 17, 1953 she married Carrol S. Knipp at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Toledo and he passed away in 2004. Marilyn was a very active member of Bethel United Brethren Church, Elmore. She was involved with the MS Society for many years, a Girl Scout leader for 10 years, a member of the Farm Council, loved reading, gardening, cooking, butterflies, and enjoyed spending time on the farm. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her friends. Marilyn was always interested in many different charities and anyone who was in need.

Surviving are her children; Jim (Patti) Knipp of Lindsey, Karen (Greg) Bigadza of Brunswick, Loren (Denise) Knipp of Gibsonburg, Dave (Judy) Knipp of Lindsey, and Rick Knipp of Fremont. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a brother; Robert (Helen) Bank of Toledo and brother-in-law; Burdell Knipp of Oak Harbor. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont from 2-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Bethel United Brethren Church, Elmore at 10:30 AM with additional visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Lindsey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Bethel United Brethren Church Building Fund, Elmore or Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsey.
