Vonda R. Kokai

Vonda R. (Bowlus) Kokai, 87, of Fremont, died early Friday morning at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont. She was born in Fremont to Roscoe and Jesse (Fergerson) Bowlus. She married William "Bill" Kokai Nov. 30, 1974 in Fremont and he died Oct. 26, 1990. She is survived by step-daughter, Sherry Curran; brother, Dale (Margaret) Bowlus; step-grandchild, James Wilson III and several loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her parents, husband, sister Mildred Peters and an infant sister. Visitation was held on Sunday at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Services were on Monday at the funeral home and burial was at Oakwood Cemetery.
