M Jane Laird

March 30, 1944 — September 11, 2007

M. Jane Laird, 63 of Fremont passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at Bethesda Care Center from Pancreatic Cancer. She was born on March 30, 1944 to the now deceased John D. and Mary J. (Holdcraft) Cascaden in Tiffin, OH. On July 16, 1993, she married Gary J. Laird in Fremont and he survives. Jane was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She worked with her husband starting North Coast Sealing together. Jane enjoyed playing cards with her family and was an avid Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan.

Surviving in addition to her husband are children: Missy (Brad) Oliver of Kuna, Idaho, Jason Zess of Bowling Green; grandchildren Kaytie, Stacie, Jared & Isaac; step-children Traci (David) Cress of Fremont, Jonathon Laird of Fremont, Andrew Laird of Toledo; step-grandchildren Joselinn, Ashleigh, Morgan, Alyssa & Jonnie; Siblings David Cascaden of Tiffin, Ann Penn of Norwalk, Marilyn Casper of Huron, Elaine Cascaden of Bettsville, Debbie Fredericks of Austin, TX & step-sister, Nancy Chamberlain of Fremont; mother-in-law, Mary K. Laird. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Robert O. Zess, brother, John F. Cascaden and step-mother, Evelyn M. Cascaden.

There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. followed by an Open House at her home.
