Frieda Lanning Sabo

Freida Pete Lanning Sabo, 87, formerly of Kansas, Ohio died Tuesday at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont. She was born on April 9, 1917 to Chester H. and Ella (Meek) Lanning in Kansas, Ohio. Mrs. Sabo graduated from Jackson-Liberty High School and owned and operated Freidas Beauty Shop until 1980. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Her husband Bert Sabo, whom she married on Nov. 25, 1935 in Indiana, died in October 1988. She leaves one son, Jim of Kansas, and one daughter, Joan Elizabeth of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; six grandchildren, Sherrie Boatman, of Kansas, James II of Fremont, Calah Anderson of Streetsboro, Dr. Les Cochran of California, Joab Cochran of Alaska, Seth Cochran of Arizona; 16 great-grandchildren and one sister, Irene Blodgett of Fremont. Preceding Freida are her parents, husband, brothers, Doc, Ted, Glenn, Walter, Dee and Jim Lanning; sisters, Helen Bayshore, Mary Earl, Cleo Carper and Ethel Smith. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fremont. Visitation: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, prior to the services. Burial: Kansas Cemetery. Memorials: To the Donors Choice.
