Phyllis Paul Lieske, 80, of Fremont, died on Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Countryside Continuing Care Center. She was born on March 25, 1926 in Hessville to the now deceased Fred H. & Ida W. (Schwartzman) Paul. On May 7, 1945 she married Charles H. Lieske in Greenup, KY and he died March 8, 1991. Phyllis was a graduate of Gibsonburg High School and Terra Community College with an Associates Degree in Food Service Management. She was the Food Service Manager at the School of Hope/Sando Industries retiring in June 1990 after 21 years of service. Phyllis was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Fremont where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of Naomi Circle of the Faith Lutheran Women of the Church, serving as President, Secretary and Secretary of Education for the Church Women. Also, Phyllis was a member of the Altar Guild, Evangelism Committee and Parish Education Committee. She is survived by daughter Letty (Tom) Rusch of Lindsey, sons Charles F. Lieske of Cape Coral, FL, William J. (Barbara) Lieske of Valparaiso, IN; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Ann Brim of Grand Haven, MI, Katherine (Don) Smith of Gibsonburg and Judith (Tom) Drusback of Fremont. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, son Michael Paul Lieske and daughter Jeanne Marie Lieske, and daughter-in-law Connie (Hetrick) Lieske. Visitation will be on Monday, June 26, 2006 at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont from 3-8 PM Services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church at 10:30 AM where her body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Faith Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church Building Fund, Birchard Public Library Recorded Book Section, or Hospice of Memorial Hospital.
