Gertrude E. Linkey, 88, formerly of Bradner and most recently of Bowling Green, died early Friday, May 11, 2007 at the Blakely Care Center. She was born on June 4, 1918 in Fostoria to the now deceased Marion and Emma (Echelbarger) Kimble. On June 4, 1937, she married Kenneth E. Linkey, Sr. and he preceded her in death on July 18, 1961. Gertrude was a loving wife, mother and homemaker, who also cooked at the Travel Inn Restaurant. Surviving are children, Norma Errett, of Gibsonburg, Carolyn Merritt of Portage, Lois (Daryl) Blausey of Woodville, Sharyn Ulman of Pemberville, Rose Linkey of Bradner, Debbie (Steve) Carter of Fostoria, Kenneth E. (Marilyn) Jr., of Pemberville, Calvin (Betty) of Bradner; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry Kimble. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, Lyle James Linkey, seven brothers, Roy, Marion Jr., Miland, Henry, Allen, Clyde, and William Kimble; one sister, Hazel Carman. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 15 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Services will be on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to: Donors choice.
