Arlyn W. Lipstraw, 77 of Lindsey died early November 10, 2007 at Riverview Nursing Home, Oak Harbor. Arlyn was born on April 6, 1930 in Graytown to the now deceased Richard & Hilda (Robenalt) Lipstraw. After graduating from Oak Harbor High School in 1948 he attended Ohio State University. Arlyn then served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and also attended LeTourneau College, Longview, TX. On June 22, 1957 he married Carolyn Overmyer at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lindsey and she survives. A lifetime farmer retiring in 1992 Arlyn was previous member of the Lindsey Lions Club, Farm Bureau, One-Milers Farm Bureau Council, and Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsey. Arlyn loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed telling stories and spending time on his farm. He is also survived by his son; Jim (Nancy) Lipstraw of Lindsey, 5 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren, brothers; Richard (Shirley) and James (Judy) Lipstraw and a sister; Helen (Andy) Nowak all of Graytown. Arlyn was preceded in death by his daughter; Mary Beth and son; John A. Lipstraw. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from 1-4 & 6-8 PM at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsey with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Todd Gates will officiate and burial will follow at Lindsey Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsey or to Hospice of NW Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
