Wallace Wally Longanbach, 63, of Fremont, died Friday morning, January 25, at the emergency room of Memorial Hospital.
Born on January 6, 1945 in Fremont to the now deceased Howard and Justine (Whitcomb) Longanbach, Wally graduated from Fremont Ross and later attended Vanguard apprentice programs. He was known to encourage education and to be a very hard worker and provider for his family. He formerly owned The Blade Agency in Bowling Green before coming back to Fremont. Following that he worked at several places including Atlas, Atlas Crankshaft in Fostoria and Standard Products. His last day of working was November 30, 2007 when he retired from I.A.C., the former Lear Corp. of Fremont. Wally was a member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Fremont.
On June 29, 1968 he married Karen Binder at the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Fremont. She survives. Also surviving are children Michael (Sherri) of Chillicothe, MO, Marie (Chris) Hausman of Fremont and Michelle Longanbach of Galloway, OH, grandchildren Noah and Erin Hausman and brothers Dave (Janice) and Steve all of Fremont and Bruce (Sarah Sally) of Berea.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January, 30, 10:30 a.m., at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fremont. Rev. Robert Quillen will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, 3-5 & 7-9 p.m.
Burial will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
